Canadian Moose

We will pick you up in either in La Crete (if you decide to drive up from Edmonton) or High Level (if you fly in in), from there all transportation arrangements are taken care of. 
We can access these areas using a Hagglund, a 1980's Swedish military tracked articulated steer all terrain vehicle (it floats and drives in water!) (see Gallery) This is a truly unique experience, you stay complete clean and dry.
The first day is spent getting to camp with a possibility of an evening hunt. 

Camp consists of comfortable Canvas wall tents, it is rustic but all the basic amenities are there. Cots for sleeping, a kitchen tent where hot homemade meals await after a hard days hunting, hot showers. Generator for Charging devices. Contact with the outside world can be facilitated by an inreach in camp (no cell Service) 

A typical day starts well before sunrise with coffee and a light snack/breakfast after which you head out for the morning hunt, depending on where your guide takes you, either you'll have a trail lunch or come back to the camp for a hearty lunch, after regrouping you'll head out for the evening hunt before returning back to camp for a late supper.
This hunt takes place during the moose Rut so calling is the preferred/most effective method although your experienced guide will take opportunities as they arise, with bulls cruising around looking for cows, it's not uncommon to run into them while out on the trail.

We only take 4 hunters per week (unless special arrangements are made in advance)
I prefer 1 Guide to one hunter but we can work with you if you would like to hunt with someone (1 Guide to two hunters)
Expect a chance at a 40" moose, I have personally hunted this WMU and 40-50" moose are common (especially if your patient)  with the possibility of hitting 60" (rare but has happened)
Wolf tag is included should the opportunity present itself
